This is an under-rated gem of a cafe in Headington.
Full English breakfast at any time of day, yummy paninis, and extremely reasonable prices.
It looks French from the outside, but really it has all sorts of food, from French to English to Mediterranean (having Turkish coffee and some Turkish-style meals).
You order at the till like a pub, but pay at the end like a restaurant.
It's usually fairly quiet, so it's a good place to get some work done (just ask for the WiFi password), and makes it the go-to place for a lunch meeting.
The manager is friendly, welcoming and attentive.
My only gripe is that they just take cash (at least last time I was there). ... But their prices are so low this shouldn't be a problem in most cases. ;) -

A good place to nip into for a sarnie or salad for lunch. Nothing fancy, but all the old favourites are there: BLT, Club, Ham and cheese toastie. Their hot paninis and ciabattas are good, and in fact the ciabattas do have some rather special and yummy fillings: I like the Mediterranean Bite best: mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, pesto, salsa and aubergine. Jamaican jive is highly recommended too. Paninis are around £2.95 and ciabattas around £3.25-£3.50. They do cold sarnies as well, and some salads, as well as drinks and cakes. My only gripe is that it sounds like a wonderful French patisserie or cafe, but isn't very French at all!
